Yoga practice at Urban Sanctuary

Our Philosophy

A practice
grounded in
presence

Urban Sanctuary was born from a simple belief: that stillness belongs in the city. We opened our doors on Welton Street to offer a refuge where movement meets mindfulness — a place where Denver's rhythm slows, just enough, to let you breathe.

Our teachers draw from lineages rooted in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin traditions, but the practice here is always adaptive. No dogma. No pretension. Just honest, skillful guidance for every body.

Beyond the mat, we're committed to the Five Points community — hosting donation-based classes, neighborhood gatherings, and seasonal retreats that reconnect us to the land and to each other.

"Urban Sanctuary completely changed my relationship with yoga. The Vinyasa classes are challenging yet accessible, and the instructors actually see you — they offer adjustments without making you feel singled out. The space itself is an oasis. I leave every class feeling grounded."

"I was nervous about starting yoga as a total beginner, but the Hatha classes here are perfect. No judgment, no pressure. The teachers break everything down so clearly. After three months, I'm stronger and more flexible than I've ever been — and genuinely excited to show up."

"The Yin classes on Sunday evenings are my ritual. Candles, soft music, long holds — it's the perfect close to the weekend. The prenatal classes were a lifeline during my pregnancy too. This studio genuinely cares about its community. You feel it the moment you walk in."
